Hello members,
Fall is upon us and we are almost through the Leaf Wars for 2021. We have many new homeowners in our community so we wanted to provide some food for thought as you wrap up your battle with Mother Nature this year.
- The City of Columbus does not pick up leaves from the curb, all leaves – including those that are in the gutter area in front of your home – should be bagged and set out for Recycling pickup. The next pickup is Monday, Nov. 15th.
- Blowing your leaves into the street so they become someone else’s problem is not a good solution. Many of you are blowing them back into the yard where they are more easily picked up. Leaves that are left in the gutter is unsightly, but more importantly, will eventually find their way to the storm sewer system and could cause blockage and backups.
- And finally – Recycling bags need to be properly stored (out of sight) until the next scheduled pick up.
Thank you to everyone who is putting in the extra effort. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and effort to get through fall cleanup and keep our neighborhood a beautiful place!
And a special shout out to “Charlie” for helping wrap up the Park Cleanup yesterday – thank you for stopping by and helping out.
