Park Update – Please help maintain our property

Hello Homeowners,

Recently we have had a rash of graffiti and vandalism on the park equipment that we are aware of and know that many of you have noticed.  While removal efforts and cleaning is done by volunteers we need your help to prevent this from happening.  First – see something, say something.  Vandalism, of any kind, will be addressed and involvement of the authorities is necessary.  Second – most people using the park are residents and (per Columbus Police Dept) vandalism of this nature is often done by the 12-15 age group.  Please note that anyone under the age of 18 are to be supervised while at the park.

Additionally, we want to address the trash can at the park.  This is provided for the benefit of the members but not intended to be a waste receptacle for pet waste, which is the majority of its contents.  This receptacle is maintained and emptied by volunteers – we do not pay anyone for trash removal – therefore, we need your help.  We love your pets, but please discard your pet waste in your trash can at home.

We are always looking for volunteers to help maintain the Association Property too!

Both of these items, when managed properly, help us to keep the annual membership dues low – one of the lowest in the area.

Thank you for your support, assistance, and participation in keeping our community beautiful.

Garage Sale Reminder!

It’s that time of year to clean out closets and get your garage organized.   The Community garage sales will be held on Friday, June 11th and Saturday, June 12th from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm for those that wish to participate.   The sandwich board signs will be at the entrances for advertising but please spread the word!

The Highlands will also be having their sales the same weekend.

Mailbox Update

With mailbox post painting underway, we wanted to address the recent inquiries and provide clarification on construction materials.

Mailbox posts are to be constructed of Cedar materials (pressure treated wood, even in the exact dimensional nature, is not permitted).  Cedar and other wood products present different looks and accept paint in different ways. They also deliver visibly different looks.  The visible quality and consistency of our mailboxes is often one of the many compliments we get on our community.

As provided in the Community Handbook on page 24, Cedar Craft is an approved vendor that supplies replacement options for those seeking to replace yours. However, for those who have inquired about constructing or repairing your own, we are working on providing dimensional requirements so you can and will provide an update when they are available.  If you would like to be placed on a list to receive the specs of our mailbox posts, please let us know!

Thank you,  your Board of Directors

Spring Community Garage Sale – Cancelled

Although the county health department has just released COVID-19 guidelines for public events, we have decided to err on the side of caution and cancel the Spring Garage Sale which was scheduled for Friday, June 12  and Saturday, June 13.
We hope to announce a late Summer or Fall Garage Sale and will keep you posted.

If you elect to have your own garage sale, please refer to the health department guidelines.

Continue to stay healthy and safe!
